Fight against impaired vision and blindness hit a historic turn today, thanks to the emergence of new scientific domaines of investigation, such as ocular genetics.
Open Eyes aims to promote and support the ophtalmologic researches conducted under the responsability of the Service of ophtalmology of the Université de Lausanne to :
- Jules Gonin Eye Hospital/Asile des aveugles in Lausanne
- Institute for Research in Ophthalmology (IRO) in Sion
“A vision for everyone” and ” give back a vision” are qotes that are leading the scientific activity in Lausanne and Sion as well as the deployed efforts of Open Eyes to stimulate, support and coordinate at its best, the interaction between civile society and academic world.
Its objectif is to provide the necessary ressources to complement the public fundings, unfortunately inadequats. Open Eyes seeks and collects funds in this purpose.
